Notice is hereby given of the SASLAW Western Cape Chapter's Annual General Meeting to be held on the 04 July 2024 at 17h00 online via Zoom Platform.


Please find attached the Agenda, Nomination form and Proxy form. The Chapter Committee welcomes your nominations and attendance at the AGM.


The 10-minute AGM will be followed by a webinar, presented by Advocate Riaz Itzkin on recent case law focusing on "Developments in discrimination law "

    Riaz Itzkin

    Advocate at Riaz Itzkin

    Advocate Riaz Itzkin joined the Bar in 2014. He holds LLB and LLM degrees (both cum laude) from the University of Johannesburg. He was formerly an attorney at ENSAfrica (Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs Inc).
    Riaz has appeared in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal, the Botswana Court of Appeal, the Labour Appeal Court, the Labour Court, the High Court and various arbitrations. He has acted on behalf of numerous prominent corporates, multinationals and public sector employers.
    Riaz has particular experience and interest in labour law and commercial litigation.
    He authored the Practice and Procedure section of Reviews in the Labour Courts (LexisNexis, 2016), and has presented papers in the labour law field at various conferences and seminars.
