The SASLAW Pro Bono NPC project at the South African Labour Courts serves to deliver a quality advisory service and defined Labour Law legal services to those who otherwise do not have access to justice.

The SASLAW Pro-Bono office concluded 2023 with a successful year of assisting clients who would not be able to access legal assistance. Without the offer and provision of pro bono hours provided by the SASLAW attorneys countless more clients would go without the assistance and advice that they need. The access and right to legal advice and representation is an essential component of the pro-bono project headed by SASLAW Pro-Bono NPC. Without access to effective legal advice and assistance many people would face the daunting task of navigating their way through our legal systems.

Currently our resources are self-funded through SASLAW incomes streams and a limited number of sponsors. In the past years we have been fortunate with funding through the Canadian Student Program, but these funds have been decreased and although the project is intended to continue and grow, we need to secure funding in the short-term to be able to deliver a sustainable project for the next few months until secure funding is established again.
