Event Details

Given the extent of what is usually at stake during a strike or lock-out, employers and unions cannot afford to get it wrong. It is vital to stay updated as to the most recent developments in the domain of strike law. Craig Kirchmann of Kirchmanns Inc. will provide SASLAW delegates with an update about the most recent developments in this area of South African labour law.

Craig will inter alia focus on the following:

  • Linking employees to strike-related misconduct when applying for an interdict, with specific reference to the Oak Valley judgment of the Constitutional Court;

  • Interdicting strikes that turn violent;

  • Interdicting secondary strikes.
