Advocate Riaz Itzkin will discuss the topic : Vaccination Dismissals : Navigating the Aftermath

In the post-mandatory vaccination landscape, several disputes have arisen following the implementation of vaccine mandates, where this has resulted in job losses. The seminar will cover selected literature, awards and judgements on this thought provoking topic.

Advocate Riaz Itzkin joined the Bar in 2014. He holds LLB and LLM degrees (both cum laude) from the University of Johannesburg. He was formerly an attorney at ENSafrica (Edward Nathan Sonnenberg's Inc). Riaz has appeared in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal, the Botswana Court of Appeal, the Labour Appeal Court, the Labour Court, the High Court and various arbitrations.

He has acted on behalf of numerous prominent corporates, multinationals and public sector employers. Riaz has particular experience and interest in labour law and commercial litigation. He authored the Practice and Procedure section of Reviews in the Labour Courts (LexisNexis, 2016), and has presented papers in the labour law field at various conferences and seminars.
